Wheatgrass Lemonade

Fresh Green Lemonade Recipe

This recipe makes approximately 4-6 servings. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 5-6 large lemons)
  • 1 cup light agave nectar (adjust to desired sweetness)
  • 4 to 6 cups cold water
  • 2 teaspoons fresh wheatgrass juice powder
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Lemon slices or fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, agave nectar, wheatgrass powder and 4 cups of cold water.
  2. Stir well: Stir briskly until the agave nectar and wheatgrass is fully blended. Agave nectar dissolves easily in cold liquids, so no heat is required.
  3. Taste and adjust: Taste the lemonade and add more water for a less concentrated flavor, or more agave nectar or lemon juice to achieve your preferred balance of sweet and tart.
  4. Chill and serve: Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator. Serve over ice with optional lemon slices or mint for garnish.
